Ad Description: DRIVERS ASSISTANT
Looking for a male under 30 years of age and physically strong
Duties include:
Loading and offloading of vehicle, checking, securing, delivering stock safely and correctly.
Administration of quantities and documents involved.
Ensuring the correct products are delivered to the correct customer
Housekeeping of the vehicle and dispatch area
Reporting damaged, dirty, mixed, incorrect, or poor quality stock before loading.
Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.

The driver’s assistant must:
Assist the driver with directions, customer locations, and delivery instructions where required
Offloads goods safely at customer’s premises
Assist the driver with checking delivery quantities against delivery notes
Ensure vehicle is kept clean and tidy

Required Skills and Competences
Read and understand basic delivery instructions and directions
Count stock accurately and maintain inventory, identifying damaged stock
Perform heavy lifting, carrying, and manual handling of goods in accordance with safety standards.
Communicate with driver, dispatch manager and customers
Follow instructions and company procedures
Work under pressure when deliveries are urgent
