We are looking for someone who understands the hardware and building supplies industry, knows how to drive sales, and can confidently manage and motivate a team.
REQUIREMENTS
• Previous management/supervisory experience
• Previous experience in hardware & building supplies
• Good knowledge of hardware products & building materials
• Able to manage and motivate staff
• Computer literate
• Strong sales & customer-service skills
• Strong negotiating skills
• Good organisational & problem-solving skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet sales targets
• Reliable transport
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the day-to-day operation of the store
• Manage, supervise and motivate staff
• Drive sales and achieve sales targets
• Order and purchase stock
• Assist customers and handle queries
• Negotiate with suppliers and customers
• Monitor stock levels and stock movement
• Identify slow-moving and out-of-stock products
• Conduct and oversee stock counts
• Manage receiving and dispatch of goods
• Ensure the store and displays are neat and organised
• Ensure pricing and product information is accurate
• Handle and resolve customer complaints
• Ensure company procedures are followed
