meticulous Senior Accountant to manage the full accounting function across our retail operations.
Role Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring
accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong financial controls. This role requires hands-on
involvement in supplier payments, reconciliations, journals, management accounts, and budgeting
within a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process monthly journal entries and adjustments
- Manage local and foreign supplier payments, including foreign currency transactions
- Process and reconcile loan and financing payments
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Review and oversee teams bank processing and payment runs
- Review and oversee team’s creditors’ accounts and review regular reconciliations
- Assist with preparation, monitoring, and control of budgets
- Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards
- Manage the full accounting function from transaction level through to reporting
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within retail or luxury brands
- Strong understanding of full accounting function and reconciliations
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment
- Proficiency in XERO and Microsoft Excel, POS Experience preferable
- Experience preparing management accounts and budgets
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
