Reality

We eat what we eat and sleep where we sleep.
Whatever we see, we want to keep.

We fight over what others have left behind.
It is much better to be kind.

In the grand scheme of things, it's all just a waste.
To be so covetous is just bad taste.

We consume, we rest and Allah does the rest.
There is no need to compete or strive to be the best.

In the end, we'll all lie down to sleep.
Even the ground beneath us we cannot keep.

Our ego and our status will end up in the dust.
Returning to the earth is a must.

In the end, we'll all be at peace.
The earth will embrace us, and all else will cease.

SCONES

Ingredients
125g Butter - 6 tblsps castor sugar - 2 eggs - 1 cup sour milk - 1 cups flour - 8 tsps baking powder - Milk to glaze - Whipped cream butter - Jam to serve.

Method
Beat butter sugar and eggs until light and fluffly. Beat in sour milk until well combined. Add sifted flour and baking powder and mix to a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface and knead lightly. Roll out to form a round about 2cm thick and using a cutter cut into rounds. Place on a greased baking sheet and glaze with milk. Bake in oven at 180 for 10/12 mins until light golden brown. Serve hot with cream butter and jams.
