Days Of Youth
In days of youth, we journey blind,
Leaving trails of hurt behind.
But with age's wisdom, we come to see,
The pain we've caused with glee.
Experience, Unfolds the truth before the eye,
Mistakes we make never die.
Repentance flows like whispered prayer.
May the lord accept from the sayer.
For those departed, prayers ascend,
A hope that hearts may finally mend.
And as the lion ages, fierce and grand,
Even the mouse on the lion can stand.
No piety gained because of passing years,
But humility that perseveres, my dears.
To die with repentance, a soul's true grace,
Shunning arrogance, leaving a noble trace.
