Golden Dawn

I warm myself in the golden dawn,
I witness nature's art in the early morn.

A spider's web glistening in the light,
A marvel spun overnight.

Thinner than a human hair.
Spun with such flair.

The spider's web is strong as steel when woven,
It can withstand a bullet, and that's proven.

Lessons whispered in the morning light.
Of resilience, artistry and sheer might.

Cherish the miracles we find.

RECIPE

ALL BRAN RUSKS

Ingredients
2 ½ cups all bran flakes - 1 cup sour milk - ¾ cup sugar – brown or white - 1 tsp baking powder - 500g self raising flour - 250gr butter - 1 egg beaten - 1 tsp salt.

Method
On low heat melt butter and sugar. Beat eggs and sour milk adding sugar. Add to dry ingredients. Pat in oven tray and slice. Bake at 180c for 35 mins. Remove from oven and slice into bars. Return to oven and bake at 100c to dry out.
