The Lone red chili

The lone red chili in the barren vegetable patch has stood the test of time.
The chili has withstood the frost and the harsh winter that is no crime.

Winter has prepared the resilient chili to drop its seed.
With spring in the air, it shall bloom anew and does not bleed.

The chili flavors your food, burns your mouth and tickles your taste bud.
The new generation carries the fame of the lone red chili and is no rosebud.

The red chili always reminds you of its presence. Food has no flavor in its absence.

Chocolate slab cake

Ingredients
4 eggs
1 ¼ cups sugar
½ cup oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
¾ cup water
1 ¾ cup self raising flour
2 ½ tblsp cocoa powder
1 ½ tsp baking powder

Method
Beat eggs and sugar well. Add vanilla essence, oil and water and mix well. Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder and add to above ingredients. Pour mixture into a well greased baking pan 25cm x 36cm, and bake at 180c for 30 minutes. When cool ice with icing of choice.
