Ink on Hand

Question: Does ink of a pen on one’s hand affect the validity of Wudhu?

Answer: In order for Wudhu to be valid, water must reach the skin. Ink of the pen is porous and thus it does not prevent water from reaching the skin. Thus, if you made Wudhu, with ink on your hand, it will be valid. [Maraqi Alal Falaah Page 63]

STEAMED ENGLISH VEGETABLES TO SERVE WITH ROASTS

Ingredients:

Sweetcorn
Carrots
Butternut
Sweet potato
Baby marrrow
Robot peppers

Method:

Steam veggies with salt, pepper and butter till half way steamed. Empty veggies into a pyrex dish and add about 4 to 5 tblsp sweet chilli sauce to the vegies, pour olive oil and mix well, crumble feta cheese over and bake for about 20 min.

Pizza Order

Sometime around two in the morning our phone rang, waking us out of a sound sleep.

"Wrong number," my husband growled and slammed down the receiver.

A few minutes later it rang again. I heard him say, "One with pepperoni and extra cheese and one with sausage. Pick up in 20 minutes."

"What was that?" I asked.

"I took his order. Now we can sleep."
