Smoking, Manufacturing & Selling Cigarettes"

Question:

What is the Islamic ruling with regards to smoking, manufacturing and selling cigarettes?

Answer

It is Makrooh (undesirable) to smoke due to the foul smell, wastage of money and potential harm that it may cause. Nevertheless, one who smokes should take special care to clean his mouth before going to the Masjid.

As for manufacturing and selling cigarettes - it is permissible but undesirable.

STEAMED ENGLISH VEGETABLES TO SERVE WITH ROASTS

Ingredients:

Sweetcorn
Carrots
Butternut
Sweet potato
Baby marrrow
Robot peppers

Method:

Steam veggies with salt, pepper and butter till half way steamed. Empty veggies into a pyrex dish and add about 4 to 5 tblsp sweet chilli sauce to the vegies, pour olive oil and mix well, crumble feta cheese over and bake for about 20 min.

The parents were very disappointed in the grades that their son brought home.
