We were driving home late one evening. We kept stressing to our three year old son that since it was so late, he was going straight to bed when we got home. Of course he didn't like the idea and kept arguing about it. Later during the ride home, something happened that he needed to be disciplined for. I told him that as soon as we got home, he would be disciplined. It was quiet for a moment, then we heard him softly saying over and over, "Straight to bed.
