Parents

Our parents came from humble beginnings.
They worked hard to support their families.
They were honest law abiding and moral people.
They nurtured us with love and kindness.
That is priceless, irrespective of their financial standing.
Because of their love caring and protection. we never felt the lack of anything.
We are what we are because of them.
We are well grounded because of the values they imparted.
That stands us in good stead today.
They were and still are a pillar of strength for us.
We never imagined they will not be with us one day.
I wished I could build a palace for them, so they could live like Kings and queens.
May Allah grant them palaces in Jannah through our Duas, Aameen.
May Allah forgive them their short comings, for they were only human.
May Allah forgive us our short comings for not fulfilling our duty towards them.

NACHOS RECIPE

1 Pkt of Doritos – Fusion flavour
250ml sour cream
Cheese
Optional extras: cooked mushrooms, green peppers, gherkins, etc
Chicken cubed +- 1 ½ cups

Marinate with:
1 tsp salt
½ tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp dhana ground
½ tsp jeero ground
¼ tsp arad
1 tsp red masala

Cook the above in 1 Tbsp ghee/ oil. Once half way cooked add ½ grated tomato.

Once cooked add:
1 Tbsp sweet sour sauce
2 Tbsp sweet chillie sauce – simmer on very low for 5 minutes
Don’t let the sauce dry out.

Method:
Switch on oven at 180 degrees. Than start to layer nachos, reason being that Doritos should not get soft with the chicken sauce. In an oven proof dish – small square / rectangle, layer the base with Doritos crisp +- half the pkt. Then layer the saucy chicken over this, Throw mushrooms, pepper, gherkins, on top of the chicken. Now spread ¾ cup of the sour cream over this. Then layer the rest of the Doritos over the sour cream. Top with grated cheese. Dot with the rest of the sour cream. Sprinkle oregano if desirable. Bake for +- 10 – 15 minutes or until cheese starts to melt. Serve while hot.

Memory

The devil told the pope, "No one in the world has a better memory than I do."

The Pope responded, "Oh! Well I know this Native American guy who has the best memory in the world and I'll even prove it."

Then the devil replied, "OK, I'll take your offer and if I have a better memory, I get your soul."

"It's a deal" replied the Pope. Then they shook hands to make the deal official.

They went to a remote village in North America. There they met Roaming Bull (the Native American the Pope was talking about).

The devil asked him, "Do you like eggs?"

The Native American replied, "Yes."

50 years passed. Everyone is still alive and have forgotten about the deal. However, the devil remembered the deal and went back to the village and greeted the Native American saying, "How."

He replied "Scrambled."
