This Week in Islamic History |
1st Rabi Ul Awwal – After spending three days in the Cave of Thour, Nabi S.A.W. continues his Hijrah and leaves for Madinah.
According to the scholars of Seerah, Nabi S.A.W. made Hijrah and left Makkah on the 27th of Safar. After spending three days in the cave, he continued his journey on the 1st of Rabi Ul Awwal. He stopped at Quba on the 8th of Rabi Ul Awwal. This is where the first Masjid in Islam (Masjid Quba) was built. It is around this time that the Hijri calendar officially started. |

A Saying
"YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY" - Actually, you learn something old every day. Just because you've just learned it, doesn't mean it's new. Other people already knew it, Columbus is a good example of this.
