Sayyiduna Abu Tha’labah Al Khushani (رضي الله عنه) reports that Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “…For verily ahead of you are such (difficult) days, staying steadfast on the Deen will be like holding onto burning cinders/hot coal. Those that do good deeds in those days will receive the reward of fifty people who carry out deeds like you. “ ‘Abdullah ibn Mubarak (رحمه الله تعالى) further states, it was again asked, O Rasulullah! Will they receive the reward of fifty people like them or fifty of us? “Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) replied: ‘Fifty of you’!” (Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3058) “The above narration explains the number of rewards that those who hold on to their Deen in times of great Fitnah, trials and tribulations will attain. This does not imply that they will be greater than the Sahabah.” (Tuhfatul Ahwadhi) |

Hand Sanitizers Question: With the spread of the Coronavirus, people are being advised to use hand sanitizers frequently. Is it permissible to use a hand sanitizer that contains alcohol in it? Answer: There are two types of alcohol. The first type is alcohol that is extracted from grapes or dates. It is Haram and impure. The second type of alcohol is synthetic. Synthetic alcohol refers to alcohol formulated from chemical substances. The alcohol used in hand sanitizers is synthetic. Therefore, it is permissible to use a hand sanitizer that has synthetic alcohol. And Allah Knows Best |
