Full Awareness After ten years of apprenticeship, Ahmed achieved the rank of a scholar. One rainy day, he went to visit a famous wise man. When he walked in, the wise man greeted him with a question, "Did you leave your wooden clogs and umbrella on the porch?" "Yes," Ahmed replied. "Tell me," the wise man continued, "did you place your umbrella to the left of your shoes, or to the right?" Ahmed did not know the answer, and realized that he had not yet attained full awareness. So he became the wise man's apprentice and studied under him for another ten more years. MORAL: Just goes to show you how little we pay attention to the things we do. Full awareness includes even the most insignificant of things. A cashier at a convenience store, asks her customers what kind of sandwich they bought, they forget and have to look down to read the wrapper. |

Being generous and feeding the people iftar The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without detracting from the reward of the person fasting."
