FAMILY TIES

All praise is due to Allâh, Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, his household and companions. Fellow Muslims! Fear Allâh and be dutiful to Him. Return rights to their due owners, Allâh will give you great reward and will save you from painful torments.

Dear brethren! Know that your Lord, out of His mercy, explains everything to you in His Book. His Messenger Muhammad, blessings and peace be upon him, has also guided you to the right path that will lead you to Paradise, save you from Hell and make you attain the happiness of this world. He explained to you the rights of Allâh upon His slaves, for the rights of Allâh upon us are the greatest of those things that He has made obligatory for us. However, Allâh requests us to perform only those things that we are able to. It is Allâh's right upon us that He should be remembered and not be forgotten, obeyed and not disobeyed, and thanked for all His favours. This will make our life peaceful and blessed, under the shadow of His mercy, free from afflictions. Our life will be full of cooperation and love. Read more

The Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) has said: "Allah has ninety-nine names, i.e. one-hundred minus one, and whoever knows them will go to Paradise." (Sahih Bukhari 50:894)

Abu Huraira RA reported Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) as saying: "There are ninety-nine names of Allah; he who commits them to memory would get into Paradise. Verily, Allah is Odd (He is one, and it is an odd number) and He loves odd numbers.." (Sahih Muslim Book-48 Hadith-5)

Spinach rolls recipe

1 bunch spinach washed and cleaned.
Neatly slice out the middle vein, leaving the leaf whole
½ kg cooked chicken filling of choice
1 egg whisked with salt and fine red chillies

Method:

Lay all spinach leaves flat. Brush with egg mixture. Place 1 tblsp or more of chicken filling on each leaf, depending on the size of the leaf. Roll each leaf closed like a spring roll, making sure all the sides are closed. At the end pierce it close with a clove. Place all spinach rolls in a pot and steam on low for 15 to 20 minutes until the colour of the leaves change. Lightly brush both sides with olive oil and fry for just a minute on each side. Serve hot with puri and chutney
