His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Rahman al-Sudais – May Allah protect him – delivered this Friday Khutbah entitled “Characteristics of the Approach of Ahl Al-Sunnah Wa-l-Jama’ah” in which he talked about the most salient characteristics of the right approach, namely that of Ahl al-Sunnah wa-l-Jama’ah. Abu Huraira RA reported Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) as saying: "There are ninety-nine names of Allah; he who commits them to memory would get into Paradise. Verily, Allah is Odd (He is one, and it is an odd number) and He loves odd numbers.." (Sahih Muslim Book-48 Hadith-5)

Methi Bhaji Squares

Ingredients
1 cup fresh methi bhaji - 1 410g tin cream style sweet corn - 1 tsp Green chillie masala - 2 eggs - 1 onion chopped - 1/2 cup milk - 1/2 cup mealie meal - 1/2 cup cake flour - 1/2 tsp arad - 2 1/2 tsps baking powder - 1 tsp salt - Sesame seeds - 1 tsp ground jeero - 1/2 cup oil - 1 Tbsp freshly chopped dhania – optional

Method
Wash and chop bhaji leaves and drain well. Blend 1/2 corn, chillies, eggs, onion and the milk together in blender. Empty this mixture into a dish. Sift all the dry ingredients into the corn mixture and mix well. Lightly stir in the Bhaji, oil and dhania. Pour mixture into a greased oven proof dish and bake in a moderate oven for about an hour or until skewer comes out clean. Cool and cut into squares and serve.

"No problem," says the mathematician, "there is a simple equation for that," and he shows him the Gaussian Normal Distribution (bell-shaped curve). The shoe-seller stares some time at the equation and asks, "What is that symbol?" "That is the Greek letter pi." "What is pi?" "That is the ratio between the circumference and the diameter of a circle." Upon this the shoe-seller cries out: "What does a circle have to do with shoes?!"
