WHEN WILL YOUR HEEDLESSNESS END? Khutbah by by Sh Umar as-Subayyil - Imam of Haram Happiness and success lies in repentance to Allah and steadfastness upon the law of Allah and religion for the entire duration of life. It does not lie in being distracted from working towards the eternal future by the urge to acquire the beauties of this world. This is the way of the righteous and pious people whom Allah describes as that which translates as: “Men whom neither commerce nor sale distracts them from the remembrance of Allah and performance of prayer and giving of Zakah. They fear a Day in which the hearts and eyes will (fearfully) turn about." (An-Noor: 37). Righteous people, despite their business and worldly engagements, do not allow that to stand between them and remembrance of Allah's greatness; a remembrance that makes them constantly fear Him and worship Him as He should be worshipped. read more |

The Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) has said: "Allah has ninety-nine names, i.e. one-hundred minus one, and whoever knows them will go to Paradise." (Sahih Bukhari 50:894) Abu Huraira RA reported Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) as saying: "There are ninety-nine names of Allah; he who commits them to memory would get into Paradise. Verily, Allah is Odd (He is one, and it is an odd number) and He loves odd numbers.." (Sahih Muslim Book-48 Hadith-5) AR-RAHEEM - (The All-Merciful) The One who grants even more grace and greater rewards in response to our good actions and high thoughts. |

LET THE TRUCKER SLEEP After driving for about six hours, a trucker decides to pull over and sleep for a little while. As soon as he falls asleep, he is awoken by some knocks on the door of the cab. "Can you tell me the time, please?" asks a jogger. "Yeah, it's 4:30," answers the trucker. He falls asleep again, but he is awoken again by another jogger who wants to know the time. "It's 4:40!" yells the trucker. Deciding to really try to sleep a little, he writes on a piece of paper: I DON'T KNOW THE TIME. He sticks the paper in his windshield. But he is awoken again.
