THE REWARDS OF PIETY
Unlimited Sustenance
Allâh Ta’ala‚ will grant one with sustenance from such sources which one cannot even imagine. Taqwâ is a business without loss. It is conducting business with Allâh. There is no loss and yet no interest is involved. If you conduct business with anyone in the world and take guarantee of no loss, it will become interest which is Harâm. But Allâh‚ says this law of conducting business without interest is for His servants only. They cannot conduct business in this way. Allâh‚ says that if you adopt piety, He will take the guarantee of giving this kind of profit - sustenance that is unlimited. There is only benefit in piety. There is never a loss in it. We never breach Our promise. If you see that Our promise is not being fulfilled on time, then remember you have committed some unworthy act. There is a deficiency in your Taqwâ.
“This is the reward of evil actions otherwise...
Lions are also used as ploughs (and trampled).”
A pious person can never be in worry. Whenever any worry afflicts you, take an account of yourself. Perhaps your eye may have erred. The ears may have erred or the heart may have slipped. You have breached the trust of the eyes and the heart. Some people repent from breach of the eyes but they enjoy the taste of past sins in their hearts. This is a breach of the heart. Both are Harâm. Both have been mentioned in the Qur’ân. "Allâh‚ knows the mistrust of the eyes and what the hearts conceal." Therefore, it is obligatory to protect the eyes as well as the heart. Do not allow evil thoughts to enter the heart.
You have heard the three rewards of piety. What are you leaving and what are you going to obtain? Allâh‚ is making you leave an evil and filthy act and what favours is He granting you:
1. Ease in work.
2. Unlimited sustenance.
3. An exit from all problems.
