THE ENORMITY OF USURPING INHERITANCE By Sheikh Salah al-Budair - 08 Rajab 1437 His Eminence Sheikh Salah al-Budair, may Allah preserve him, delivered the Friday Khutbah entitled, “The Enormity of Usurping Inheritance,” in which he talked about the seriousness and unlawfulness of encroaching upon the inheritance of others, particularly that of women and orphans, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against consuming their property. WHAT TO SAY AT TIMES OF GRIEF, CONCERN, AND SADNESS It is reported of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) that he said: "No preoccupying concern, or sadness inflicts a bondservant whereupon he says: Allãhumma 'innee `abduka, wabnu `abdika, wabnu 'amatika, nasiyatee biyadika, mãdhin fiyya hukmuka, `adlun fiyya qadhã'uka, 'as'aluka bikulli 'ismin huwa laka, sammayta bihi nafsaka, 'aw 'anzaltahu fee kitãbika, 'aw `allamtahu 'ahadan min khalqika, 'aw 'ista'tharta bihi fee `ilmil ghaybi `indaka, 'an taj`alal qur'ãna rabee`a qalbee, wa noora sadree, wa jalã'a huznee, wa thahãba hammee... ...except that Allah would dispel his concern and his sadness, and would replace it with ease and relaxation for him." TRANS: O my 'ilãh I am your bondservant, son of your bondsman, and son of your bondswoman. My forelock is in Your Hands; Your judgement is continuously being carried out upon me; Your sentence upon me is juste. I ask You with every name that is Yours, with which You have named Yourself, brought down in Your book, taught to one of Your creation, or have preferred for Yourself in the hidden knowledge, with You: that You make the Qur'ãn the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, and the despellation of my sadness, and deportation of my [preoccupying] concern. Mini steak filled roties 2 cups cake flour Method: Sift flour and salt. Rub butter into flour until it resembles bread crumbs. Make a well in the center of flour and pour in hot water gradually. Mix to form soft dough. Reset dough for ½ hour. Make small balls in palm of your hand. Roll out on floured surface and fry in heated pan with butter. Fill with masala steak, or chicken and pin with tooth picks. |
