Praise be to Allah. Praise be to Allah, the All-Mighty, the Most Forgiving, and the All-knower of what is in the breasts. He has bestowed His favours upon us and upon all mankind and has saved whom He wills from all evils and punishments. I praise my Lord and thank Him. I turn to Him in repentance and ask Him for forgiveness. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, Who has no partners, the Most Forbearing and Most Appreciative of good deeds, and I bear witness that our prophet and master, Muhammad, is His servant and Messenger. WHEN LEAVING THE HOME

The Messenger of Allah said: Whoever says - upon going out of his home:

Bismillãh, tawakkaltu `alã 'allãh, lã hawla wa lã quwwata 'illã bil-lãhi ta`ãla.

I put my trust in Allah; there is neither might nor strength, except by Allah, the Most High.

It is said to him: You have been sufficed, protected, and guided, and the Shaytaan would move aside from him, then say to another Shaytaan: What access do you have to a man that has been guided, sufficed, and protected?"

Fried fish vrikkadels

Ingredients
650g hake
3 slices of stale white bread
1 small onion
1 ½ tsp garlic paste
1 tsp salt
½ tsp ground pepper
1 egg
3 Tbsp parsley

Method:
Cook fish in the microwave for 15 minutes and strain in colander. Soak bread in water and squeeze out all the moisture. Combine fish & bread. Chop onion finely and together with remaining ingredients add to the fish. Mix thoroughly. Form balls and slightly flatten in palm of hands. Fry in oil until golden brown on each side. Serve with white rice and ‘gesmoorde’ tomato.
