THE
STORY |
THE DOG AND HER PUPPIES
A dog was about to give birth, ready to whelp, earnestly begged a shepherd for a place where she might litter. When her request was granted, she asked permission to rear her puppies in the same spot. The shepherd again consented. But at last the dog protected by the bodyguard of her puppies, who had now grown up and were able to defend themselves, claimed her exclusive right to the place and would not permit the shepherd to approach.
MORAL: Help people only for the pleasure of Allah. Do not do it with the intention of expecting a return. Only lend something if you're prepared to give it away. Those to whom you give kindness may turn on you.

SUNNAH |
It is Sunnah to recite Takbeer at any time during the first ten days of Thu’l-Hijjah and all the days of Tashreeq, starting from the beginning of the month of Thu’l-Hijjah (i.e., from sunset on the last day of Thu’l-Qa’dah) until the end of the days of al-Tashreeq, which is when the sun sets on the thirteenth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah).
With regards to at certain times, it starts from Fajr on the 9th day and lasts until the sun sets on the last day of the days of Tashreeq (13th), in addition to the Takbeer that may be recited at any time. So when a person makes Salaam at the end of the obligatory prayer, he should start the Takbeer.

THE
SMILE |
Several days ago as I left a meeting at our office, I desperately gave myself a personal TSA pat down. I was looking for my keys. They were not in my pockets. A quick search in the meeting room revealed nothing. Suddenly I realized, I must have left them in the car. Frantically I headed for the parking lot. My wife, has scolded me many times for leaving the keys in the ignition. My theory is the ignition is the best place not to lose them. Her theory is that the car will be stolen. As I burst through the doors of the office, I came to a terrifying conclusion. Her theory was right. The parking lot was empty. I immediately called the police. I gave them my location, confessed that I had left my keys in the car, and that it had been stolen.
Then I made the most difficult call of all, "Honey," I stammered. I always call her "honey" in times like these. "I left my keys in the car, and it has been stolen."
There was a period of silence. I thought the call had been dropped, but then I heard my wife's voice, "Ken," she barked, "I dropped you off!"
Now it was my time to be silent. Embarrassed, I said, "Well, come and get me."
She retorted, "I will, as soon as I convince this policeman I have not stolen your car!"
