SHABAAN AND LAYLATUL BARAA'AH

Sha'ban is one of the meritorious months for which we find some particular instructions in the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam. It is reported in the authentic Ahadith that Prophet Muhammad, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, used to fast most of the month in Sha'ban. These fasts were not obligatory on him but Sha'ban is the month immediately preceding the month of Ramadan. If one upon whom Ghusl is obligatory, wishes to eat or drink something before going for a bath, he should first wash his hands, face and gargle his mouth. Thereafter, he should eat and drink.

Chilli Cheese Toast

4 Slice Bread
1 tsp fine green chillies
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup grated cheese
Chopped greens
30g melted butter

Method:
Place bread in shallow tray. Whisk all ingredients beside butter. Pour over bread. Refrigerate -+ 30 min (must do). Preheat oven to 180C. Bake in oven +- 10/15 min. Remove from oven. Pour butter over and grill for 2 min. Remove and cut into square.

FEEL BETTER NOW

Maria was having a tough day and was relaxing on the couch to do a bit of what she thought to be well-deserved complaining and self-pitying.

She moaned to her mom and brother, "Nobody loves me... the whole world hates me!"

Her brother, busily occupied playing a game, hardly looked up at her and passed on this encouraging word: "That's not true, Maria. Some people don't even know you."
