TWO OPPOSITE VIEWS – NICE ONE! Here is how two people looking at the same thing can see it VERY differently. A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: ‘I am blind please help.’ There were only a few coins in the hat. A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words. Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, ‘were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?’ The man said, ‘I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way. What he had written was: ‘Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.’ Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing? MORAL OF THE STORY: Be thankful for what you have. Think differently and positively. |

Sayyadatina Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) was eating with his six Companions when a desert Arab came and ate up the food in two mouthfuls. Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "Had he mentioned the Name of Allah, it would have sufficed for all of you.'' [At-Tirmidhi] Commentary: The pronouncement of Allah's Name brings blessing to the meal, and the omission of His Name robs blessing away. |

| RECIPE | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Easy carrot tray bake 4 eggs Combine eggs and sugar in a large mixing bowl and beat until very light and creamy. Beat in oil. Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda, cinnamon and salt together and stir into mixture. Lastly stir in carrots and nuts. Pour mixture into a greased and lined deep 23x30 cm oven pan and bake at 180% C for 40 to 50 min or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 min before removing to a cooling rack to cool completely. Ice with cream cheese icing and decorate with pecan nuts if desired. Cream Cheese Icing: Combine cream cheese and butter in a mixing bowl and beat well. Add vanilla essence and gradually beat in icing sugar until mixture is thick and fluffy. Decorate with pecan nuts. |
