Surah Al-Hadeed 57: - (The Iron)

With the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most-Merciful

"We have indeed sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and sent down with them the Book and the Balance, so that people may uphold justice. And We sent down iron in which there is strong power, and benefits for the people; and [We did it] so that Allah knows the one who helps Him and His messengers without seeing [Him]. Surely Allah is Strong, Mighty." (57:25)

COMMENTARY: The word Bayyinat means 'clear' or 'evident' things. It could also mean 'clear injunctions'. It may refer to 'miracles, clear proofs and evidences of Prophet-hood and Messenger-ship. [Ibn Kathir and Ibn Hayyan]. After Bayyinat, the mention sending down the Book supports the last interpretation, that is, Bayyinat refers to 'miracles and proofs' and that 'the Book' sets out details of injunctions.

In addition to the Book, another thing has been mentioned, which is 'Meezan' [Balance or Scale]. Originally, this word refers to an instrument of weighing. Besides the customary balance, there are other kinds of instruments that are invented from time to time to weigh and measure other things. For example, nowadays we have instruments with which to weigh and measure 'light', 'wind' and other things. All these instruments will fall under the category of 'Meezan'. [Balance]

The tiny orbs streamed down her face
But before they reached the ground
The water filled clouds quickened their pace
And so, the girls tears were drowned

And as she was about to scream, a scream that would expose the rawness of her heart
The thunder came with a ferocious roar
Overpowering the sullen cry she did bore
And so her cry was muffled and her plees of worldly help fell apart

But little did she know that nature had only for her sent a disguise
Because at that moment, filling her veins was heavenly advise
And so she stood up in the black it night
With a heavenly conviction so strong, it made the devil fright

And with that "blessing" in hindsight
She knew it will be alright

BAKED VEGETABLES IN FRESH CREAM

Ingredients

½ butternut
2 small sweet potatoes
2 small gem squash
½ tin cream style sweetcorn
1 cup fresh cream
salt to taste
lemon pepper
green chilies to taste

Method

Cube the sweet potato and butternut. steam all the vegetables with salt and pepper. scoop flesh out of the gem squash and put all the steamed vegetables in a casserole dish. mix creamstyle sweetcorn with fresh cream, salt and crushed green chillies to taste. pour over vegetables and bake in oven for 15 to 20 minutes

One afternoon, a man went to his doctor and told him that he hasn't been feeling well lately. The doctor examined the man, left the room, and came back with three different bottles of pills.

The doctor said, "Take the green pill with a big glass of water when you wake up. Take the blue pill with a big glass of water after you eat lunch. Then just before going to bed, take the red pill with another big glass of water."

Startled to be put on so much of medication, the man stammered, "Jeez Doc, exactly what is my problem?"
The doctor replied, "You're not drinking enough water."
