HIGH ASPIRATIONS AND THE STATUS OF AL-SABIQOON By Sheikh Faisal ibn Jameel Ghazzawi - 08 Rabi Al-Thani 1438 His Eminence Sheikh Faisal ibn Jameel Ghazzawi –May Allah protect him– delivered this Friday Khutbah titled “High Aspirations and the Status of Al-Sabiqoon” in which he talked about high aspirations and that the servant should elevate his aspiration and his ambition in his endeavour to get closer to Allah, the Almighty, by pursuing the most sublime and most elevated aims. He showed the greatness of al-Sabiqoon and how Allah has praised them in more than one place in His Book (the Qur’an). Sheikh Ghazzawi also urged Muslims to acquire characteristics similar to theirs so as to obtain a similar status before Allah. read more |

WHEN ENTERING A TOWN It is reported by way of Suhayb RA that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) did not see a town which he wanted to enter except that he said upon seeing it: "Allãhumma rabbas-samãwãtis-sab`i wa mã 'athlaln, wa rabbal 'aradheenas-sab`i wamã 'aqlalna, wa rabbash-shayãteeni wa mã 'adhlalna, rabbar-riyãhi wa mã tharayna; 'as'aluka khayra hãthihi 'alqaryati, wa khayra 'ahlihã, wa khayra mã feehã, wa 'a`outhu bika min sharrihã, wa sharri 'ahlihã, wa sharri mã feehã."
