THE FISHERMAN AND THE LITTLE FISH

It happened that a Fisherman, after fishing all day, caught only a little fish. ‘Pray, let me go, master,’ said the Fish. ‘I am much too small for your eating just now. If you put me back into the river I shall soon grow, then you can make a fine meal off me.’

‘Nay, nay, my little Fish,’ said the Fisherman, ‘I have you now. I may not catch you after this.’

MORAL: A little thing in hand is worth more than a great thing in prospect.

2 cups of rice- boiled until nearly done.

500g chicken breast- cooked with:
Crushed garlic, salt, pepper, red chilles, crushed jeera, 1 tin sweetcorn.
*2 onions cut into rings.
*2 coloured peppers cut into rings.
*2 potatoes cut into rounds.
*2 tomatoes cut into rounds.

Method:

1. Fry each of asterisk marked ingredients separately in oil.
2. Make a seasoning of salt, pepper, chillies, thyme, mint, crushed jeera.
3. Place meat at the bottom of a casserole dish.
4. Layer each vegetable over this and sprinkle seasoning over each layer.
5. Spread rice over, and pour 2 Tbsp of melted ghee over the top, cover and steam palau in the oven for 30 – 45 minutes.

A lady noticed her husband standing on the bathroom scale, sucking in his stomach. Thinking he was trying to weigh less with this maneuver, she commented, "I don't think that's going to help."
