WARNING AGAINST FICKLENESS AND HYPOCRISY

His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Rahman al-Sudais – May Allah protect him – delivered this Friday Khutbah titled “Warning against Fickleness and Hypocrisy” in which he talked about deviated paths and twisted ways, namely fickleness and hypocrisy. The Sheikh cautioned against such improper conduct and against people behaving in like way. He equally highlighted certain other traits characterising their profile and insisted on the need to act against them, using all possible means and tools at hand. read more

Salim bin 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: When a man was to set out on a journey, 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) would say to him: "Draw near so that I may bid farewell to you as Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) used to bid farewell to us. CHOCOLATE SLAB CAKE

Ingredients
4 eggs
1 ¼ cups sugar
½ cup oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
¾ cup water
1 ¾ cup self raising flour
2 ½ tblsp cocoa powder
1 ½ tsp baking powder

Method
Beat eggs and sugar well. Add vanilla essence, oil and water and mix well. Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder and add to above ingredients. Pour mixture into a well greased baking pan 25cm x 36cm, and bake at 180c for 30 minutes. When cool ice with icing of choice.

Some people are extremely impressed when you tell them you're a Navy SEAL.

Case in point: My grandson's Kindergarten class on Career Day. I regaled them with stories of my exploits in the military. After I finished, hands shot up into the air all over the classroom. The kids were eager to ask questions.

One little girl asked, "Can you balance a ball on the end of your nose?"
