WHEN LEAVING THE HOME

The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said: Whoever says - when leaving his home: Bismillãh, tawakkaltu `alã 'allãh, lã hawla wa lã quwwata 'illã bil-lãhi ta`ãla,

"I put my trust in Allah, there is neither might nor strength, except by Allah, the Most High."

it is said to him: You have been sufficed, protected, and guided, and the Shaytan would move aside from him, then say to another Shaytan: What access do you have to a man that has been guided, sufficed, and protected?"

CREAMY PRAWN, GARLIC & LIME PASTA

Treat your friends to this garlic and lime-infused prawn pasta.
Serves 4 | Preparation Time: 15 mins | Cooking Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

1 box Knorr Tuna Mate - Lotsa Garlic & Herbs
1 clove garlic, crushed
The zest of 1 lime
800 ml hot water
15 ml oil.
200 g prawns, shelled and deveined
1 red onion, chopped
250 ml cold milk
Black pepper

Instructions

1. Heat oil in a large, non-stick saucepan.
2. Add onions and garlic and sauté until soft.
3. Stir in sachet of seasoning spice blend, milk and water and mix together well.
4. Add prawns, lime zest and the uncooked pasta and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally.
5. Reduce the heat and allow to simmer uncovered for 15–20 min until the pasta is cooked.
6. Season with black pepper, serve and enjoy.

Nasruddin was determined to be decisive and efficient. One day he told his wife he would plough his largest field on the far side of the river and be back for a big dinner. She urged him to say, "Insha Allah! If Allah is willing."

He told her whether Allah was willing or not, that was his plan. The frightened wife looked up to Allah and asked forgiveness.

Nasruddin loaded his wooden plough, hitched up the oxen to the wagon, climbed on his donkey, and set off.

But within the short span of a day the river flooded from a cloudburst and washed his donkey downstream, and one of the oxen broke a leg in the mud, leaving Nasruddin to hitch himself in its place to plough the field.

Having finished only half the field, at the sunset he set out for home exhausted and soaking wet.

The river was still high so he had to wait until long past dark to cross over.

After midnight a very wet but much wiser Nasruddin knocked at his door. “Who is there?” asked his wife.

“Insha Allah! I think it is me, Insha Allah! Nasruddin, Insha Allah! he replied, Insha Allah! if Allah is willing!
