Abu Marwan Abd al-Malik Ibn Zuhr Born at Seville in 1091/c. 1094 C.E. After completing his education and specializing in medicine, he entered the service of Almoravides. Ibn Zuhr was one of the greatest physicians and clinicians of the Muslim golden era and has rather been held by some historians of science as the greatest of them. Contrary to the general practice of the Muslim scholars of that era, he confined his work to only one field medicine. This enabled him to produce works of everlasting fame. read more |

| Poison of the Heart and Mind We all have problems and secrets we want to hide We all want to be happy and want everyone to be kind The world however is polluted… Not just by the air that we breathe Or all the garbage that is being dumped But by all the hatred and envy in the Hearts and Minds of our fellow human beings No one smiles anymore… People are all sullen, sad and angry looking What is the reason for all this anger?? For all this hatred… For all this pain?? We poison our hearts and minds with what people say We listen to their critisism and take it to heart… They only say these things because they feel that way about themselves. And then we dwell on it And we make ourselves feel samll, useless and inadequate!! We value their opinions more than our own… The sad thing is that soceity is slowly dying down We are all becoming followers and there are no room for leaders anymore.
