THE
MESSAGE |
Salaah is a five times a day package which cannot be sub-divided.
Unless all five are observed, the requirement of Salaah has not
been met. Why five? Allah alone knows best but we can speculate.
With the passage of time and our advancement in technology, the
no bonded man (including one not a slave to wealth) will find he
has more free time than in the past. This places us in greater danger
of engaging in forbidden activities. With more time to spare, we
can apportion more to the remembrance of Allah, and this also provides
added protection against falling into disbelief. Allah has decreed
how this increase in remembrance should take place, and Allah alone
knows best. We may also engage in numerous additional prayers, as
was the practice of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam), should
we so desire. |

A cat killed a rat. Immediately
thereafter it put its mouth in a utensil. This will render it impure.
But if it does so after some time, after having licked its mouth,
it will not be impure but will remain Makruh.

THE
SMILE |
I don't know whether I should laugh or be inspired by this ...
But here it is ...
I was sitting in a Masjid after Juma prayer.
When it was time for collection, the donation box was passed around.
Despite the Imam's call for good offering, I still hurriedly and
secretly pulled out an old worn out note of R10 from my pocket and
dropped it.
Just then, the person behind me tapped me on the shoulder and handed
me a R200 note.
I smiled, so generous.
Majestically, I looked around and put the R200 in the box and passed
it on.
Then I turned and thanked the man seriously for being so generous.
He replied "don't mention it''
be more careful next time, it fell from your pocket"
Whaaaat!!!???...
