PERSONALITY |
ABU-D DARDA RA
Early in the morning, Abu-d Dardaa RA awoke and went straight to
his idol which he kept in the best part of his house. He greeted
it and bowed to it. Then he anointed it with the best perfume from
his large shop and put on it a new raiment of beautiful silk which
a merchant had brought to him the day before from Yemen.
When the sun was high in the sky he left his house for his shop.
On that day the streets and alleys of Yathrib were crowded with
the followers of Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam returning from
Badr. With them were several prisoners of war. Abu-d Dardaa surveyed
the crowds and then went up to a Khazraji youth and asked about
the fate of his friend Abdullah ibn Rawahah.
"He was put through the most severe of tests in the battle,"
"but he emerged safely..." read

STRANGE
BUT TRUE |
THE
WISDOM OF A BEDOUIN
Once a bedouin was asked what made an unsophisticated man like
him believe in God.
Bedouin: Do you see these marks in the sand?
Man: Yes
Bedouin: What do they tell you?
Man: A Camel went by.
Bedouin: Did you see the Camel?
Man: No, but these footprints in the sand suggest that a Camel made
them.
Bedouin: Do you see these mountains?
Man: Yes
Bedouin: They are indicative to me that God made them. |

THE SMILE |
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED
When Peters learned that he was being fired, he went to see the
head of human resources. "Since I've been with the firm for
so long," he said, "I think I deserve at least a letter
of recommendation."
The human resources director agreed and said he'd have the letter
that next day. The following morning, Peters found the letter on
his desk. It read, "Jonathan Peters worked for our company
for eleven years. When he left us, we were very satisfied."
