* Russian warships join Syria war with rocket attacks - Russian warships in the Caspian Sea have launched rockets at the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Syria which hit their targets, Russia's President Vladimir Putin and Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said in a joint television appearance.

* EU warships start migrant smuggler patrols - European warships in the Mediterranean launched a new operation to catch migrant smugglers as the leaders of Germany and France were to push for further EU action to cope with the refugee crisis.

* 14 elephants killed by cyanide in Zimbabwe - Zimbabwean national park officials have confirmed that 11 elephants have been poisoned by cyanide in Hwange National Park, the same park where an American dentist killed Cecil the Lion in July, sparking international outrage.

* NUM, chamber to meet amid coal strike - The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) will meet the Chamber of Commerce at noon for further coal sector negotiations, the union said in a statement.

* Cop threatens to ’stab them’ - Three Tshwane metro police officers might find themselves in hot water after a video implicating them of harassing a motorist and threatening to stab one of his passengers surfaced.

4 large potatoes - boiled and mashed. 1/2 green chillies. 2 cups samoosa mince. 2 eggs beaten.

Method
Mix together: Salt; Green chillies and Eggs, add to mash. Flatten mash mixture in the palm of you hand - form a ball with mince and put in center of flatten mash.
Cover mince completely - flatten slightly dip in egg and fry in hot oil. Can be dipped in bread crumbs as well.
