A
DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ADOPTED CHILD
November 9 was World Adoption Day. It was a day to celebrate family,
a day to raise awareness for adoption, and day to raise funds to
support families in their adoption. Ambassadors from all over the
world organised events bringing together people from all walks of
life to celebrate the power and beauty of family brought together
through adoption. As a contribution towards this global event we
have the honour of presenting a post by a regular guest contributor,
Fatima Moolla of Timeless Teenz, who is an adopted child. read

If someone moves away from their hometown and becomes a resident of
another place, then their former town will no longer be considered
as their ‘permanent residency’. Hence, if that former place falls
en-route on a journey and he/she intends staying there for a few days,
then they would remain a Musafir (traveler). I.e. they will have to
offer all of their Salaahs as a Musafir.

THE SMILE |
RUNNING
AWAY FROM HOME
A man scolded his son for being so unruly and the child rebelled
against his father. He got some of his clothes, his teddy bear and
his money box and proudly announced, "I'm running away from
home!"
The father calmly decided to look at the matter logically. "What
if you get hungry?" he asked.
"Then I'll come home and eat!," bravely declared the child.
"And what if you run out of money?"
"I will come home and get some!" readily replied the child.
The man then made a final attempt, "What if your clothes get
dirty?"
"Then I'll come home and let mommy wash them," was the
reply.
The man shook his head and exclaimed, "This kid is not running
away from home; he's just going off to college."
