Two fish were swimming when they saw a piece of meat dangling before them. The younger fish darted toward it with an open mouth. The older fish cried out, “Stop! You can't see it, but there is a hook inside that meat. It is connected by an invisible line to a pole outside the water. There is a man holding the pole. If you eat the meat, the hook will catch in your jaw and the man will pull you out of the water. He will cut you open with a knife, roast you on a fire and eat you. Then he will throw your remains to his cat. The young fish stopped. The two of them swam away. But when the young fish was alone, he thought to himself, “Let me investigate for myself how accurate these claims are. He went back to the meat, swam around it, above and below it. He swam as far as he could in widening circles around the meat. After a long search, he said to himself, I've looked far and wide, and I haven't found any sign of a man, a pole, a knife, a fire or a cat. In fact, Ive found no trace of anything outside this water we live in. These must just be stories. He went back to the meat and ate it. The hook caught in his jaw, he felt himself being yanked out of the water. He saw a pole, a man and a knife, but at that point his knowledge was useless. MORAL: So is the message of the Noble Quran. Some
of it is beyond our comprehension. We will realize its reality only
when death strikes. |

Aayeshah Radiyallahu Anha says: "Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi
Wasallam once came home, a woman was present at that time. Rasulullah
Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam inquired. 'Who is this woman?' I replied:
'This is a certain woman who does not sleep at night'. Rasulullah
Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said: 'One should observe only that amount
of nawaafil which one can bear. I swear an oath that Allah TaAala
does not fear the granting of rewards, till you begin to fear the
observance of deeds'. Aayeshah Radiyallahu. Anha says: 'The most beloved
deed of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam were those that were
practised continuously. (TIRMIZI)
Commentary: This Sahaabiyyah was Sayyiditina Kholaa
bint Tuwayt bin Habib Radiyallahu Anha. She had the fervour and
intense desire to perform Ibaadah. Many incidents of this type are
mentioned in the Ahaadith, Where the zeal of the Sahaabah Radiyallahu
Anhu was so intense, it compelled them to perform Ibaadah more than
normal. Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam advised
them to observe moderation. |

Pasta 1/2 pkt spaghetti of macaroni - 2 ltrs water - 2 tsp salt - 2 tsp oil. Boil together for +- 10 - 15 minutes and empty into colander. Pour cold water over to remove starch. Drain. Sauce Combine sauce ingredients. Simmer on low heat for 5-10 min: 1 onion sliced - 1 green pepper sliced - 2 Tbsp oil or butter - 1 tsp garlic - 1/4 tsp salt - Tussers or any other white cheese mixed herbs. Fry onion and pepper together with oil / butter, garlic and salt until onions are transparent. Toss together with pasta and sauce. Top with cheese and mixed herbs. Bake at 180 for 10 min or until cheese melts. |

BARKING OUT BAD GUYS Bad Idea: After two suspected car thieves in New Haven, Connecticut, refused to come out of the house they were holed up in, police announced that they would send in the K-9 force. Only trouble? A serious lack of police dogs on the scene. So a couple of cops snuck up to the front door and began barking. It Worked! The petrified intruders ran out and surrendered to police.
