SALAAH: The Believer's Utmost Delight

His Eminence Sheikh Saleh ibn Humaid -May Allah protect him- delivered this Friday’s Khutbah titled “SALAAH: The Believer's Utmost Delight” in which he talked about the importance of Salaah and the necessity of answering the call to prayer. He also asserted that the essence of Salaah lies in the submission to Allah,which the Muslim feels while performing it. Sheikh Ibn Humaid quoted numerous sayings of the righteous salaf about the overwhelming interest they took in it. In conclusion to his Khutbah, Sheikh Ibn Humaid made sincere exhortation to the youths to shun the calls to Takfeer (accusing others of unbelief), blowing up places and shedding sanctified blood, since such acts are evil and deadly both in the Herein and the Hereafter. read more

Sayyadina Abu Hurayrah RA narrates that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam is reported to have said, “When it is an extremely hot day, Allah Ta’ala turns His attention to the people of the skies and the earth. Ingredients for pizza dough
4 cups cake flour
½ tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 packet instant dry yeast
125g butter
1 egg
1 cup milk, 1 cup water

Method
Heat butter, water and milk. Sift flour and add salt, sugar and yeas. Add egg to the butter and milk mixture. Make soft dough with this mixture. You may add more water if necessary Leave dough to rise until double its volume. Roll dough into a large rectangle spread chutney or sauces of choice and filling of choice. Roll up like a Swiss roll and cut into slices approximately 2cm thick Stand up slices on a greased baking tray closely together.Leave to rise When slices have risen to twice its size sprinkle cheese, garnish with origanum and bake @180c.

At work, I bragged about my children's world travels: one son was teaching in Bolivia, another was working in southern Italy, and the third one was completing a yearlong research project in India.
