A GUAVA TREE AND LIFE

Mmmm... guavas. I love them. Living in the US, guavas are a rare commodity, a special treat, not just something you can buy every day from the store down the street.

And for many years, since moving to the United States, I was unable to enjoy this sweet blessing of Allaah... until a few years back, when seeing my love for them, my mother found some guava seeds and planted them for me in my backyard. And since then Alhamdulillaah, weve enjoyed ripe, juicy, sweet guavas season after season.

Through storms and hurricanes, cold spells and freezes, this guava tree amazingly withstood the forces of nature against all odds, Alhamdulillaah, and produced ripe, delicious fruit... until last winter. read more

FRESH COCONUT & VERMICELLI DELIGHT

Ingredients
1 Ltr Milk - 2 cups extra fine vermicelli - 1 large tin condensed milk - ½ tin nestle cream 410g - ½ cup coconut - 1 – 2 cups freshly grated coconut.

Method
Boil the milk and vermicelli on low heat till thick, then leave to cool. Liquidize the rest of the ingredients as well as the milk mixture (more condensed milk may be added if more sweetness is required). Pour the mixture into a dessert bowl and cover the top of it with the other half of the cream. Top with freshly grated coconut. Decorate with red and green cherries. Refrigerate and enjoy.

JUSTICE IS NOT ALWAYS JUST

A judge in a village court had gone on vacation. Nasrudin was asked to be temporary judge for a day. Nasrudin sat on the Judge's chair with a serious face, gazing around the public and ordered the first case be brought-up for hearing.

"You are right," said Nasrudin after hearing one side.

"You are right," he said after hearing the other side.

"But both cannot be right," said a member of public sitting in the audience.

"You are right, too" said Nasrudin.

Everyone is right in their own way. If everyone know this, then the world would be much better place to live.
