Surah As-Saff (The Row) 61
This Surah was revealed in Madinah, and it has 14 verses and 2 sections

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most Merciful

"And (remember) when Easa, the son of Maryam, said, "O Children of Israeel, I am a messenger of Allah towards you, confirming the Taurah that is (sent down) before me, and giving you the good news of a messenger who will come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with manifest signs, they said, "This is a clear magic." [6]

COMMENTARY: The second thing Easa AS mentioned in particular was the good news of the advent of the Final Messenger, Peace Be Upon Him. This too points out that his teachings will also be the same as those of the previous Prophets, and therefore it is the demand of reason and honesty to believe in him. Prophet Easa AS had foretold the Children of Israeel that a Final Messenger will come after him by the name of Ahmad. When he appears, it would be obligatory for them to embrace faith in him and obey him.

The name of the Final Messenger given in the Injeel, (the Bible) was Ahmad. The name of the Final Messenger was Muhammad and Ahmad. He had some other names as well. Muhammad was a very common name in Arabia. So, to avoid confusion the name Ahmad, which was an uncommon name, was mentioned.

Based on the distortions in the original text of the Injeel (the Bible), the Christians today challenge the correctness of the Qur'anic version of the prophecy, asserting that no prophecy in the name of Ahmad is found in the Injeel (the Bible).

1 packet ready washed lettuce
2 cups pineapple - cubed
2 cups cucumber - cubed
2 cups of 3 colour peppers mixed - cut in strips
Feta cheese - cut in squares or strips

Lay lettuce on platter following with the pineapple, cucumber, peppers & feta cheese.

In a saucepan:
2 tbslp olive oil
½ cup badam - sliced
½ cup dates - cut lengthwise
½ cup sesame seeds

Braise the above ingredients until golden brown then add:
¼ tsp chilli powder
¼ tsp salt

Pour the above over salad.

Dressing:
¼ cup trim
1 tblsp mustard sauce
½ tsp brown sugar
½ tsp olive oil
¼ cup of any salad dressing of your choice

Mix in blender pour over the salad & munch away

NEW GRANDMOTHER

As a new grandmother, I am very protective of my daughter Meredith's baby girl. One cool afternoon I dropped by to see my grandchild. Meredith and a friend had taken little Allison for a walk in her stroller and were just coming up the street.

As soon as they reached me, I bent down to admire Allison and, in my fussiest voice, remarked, "Your little head is cold. You should have a hat on."

My daughter looked knowingly at her friend and said, "You owe me ten bucks."
