Commentary: In the era of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam), and for a long time afterwards, all business transactions were made by means of Dirham and Dinar - the former was a gold coin while the latter was a silver one. The price of the camel which was settled in gold or silver was paid by the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) in weight, and he paid it in excess of the agreed amount.

Method

Beat together the egg, milk, sugar, elachie essence and cream. Melt butter in a heavy based pot, add in the milk mixture and simmer till it thickens slightly, add in the almonds, semolina and klim and mix with a wooden spoon on low heat for approx 10 minutes Steam on low with the lid closed for another 10minutes or alternatively put it in the oven for approx 15-20 minutes on 180'C.

As I watched her breathe her last,
my heart sank to the deepest pit,
I could not believe that one moment she was here and the next gone.
A breathing, talking, live beautiful human being,
now a cherished soul peacefully resting.
The dark air filled with sorrow,
everyone shouting, screaming, crying.
Forms to be filled in,
arrangements to be made,
but I was blinded to everything around me, everything felt empty, silent.
I saw my world shatter into pieces before my eyes.
I held her hand, it was still warm,
maybe if I rubbed it, she would open her eyes,
and this nightmare I saw myself in, would end.
But no, this was the last moment,
the shocking, sad reality that she was never to return.

Sometimes I sit back and ponder my last moment.
The constant reality sits quietly at the back of my head.
Death can come uninvited and whisk you away so fast,
no one can pull you back....

that moment when death calls a name.
