Surah Al-Hashr (The Mustering)
This Surah was revealed in Madinah, and it has 24 verses and 3 sections

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The Merits of al-Muhajireen [The Emigrants]

"And for the poor emigrants who were expelled from their homes and properties, while they were seeking the grace of Allah and (His) pleasure, and were helping Allah and His Messenger. They are the truthful. ... 59:8."

COMMENTARY: This verse describes the characteristics of the emigrants. The first of them is that they were driven from their homes and wealth, that is to say, their only crime was that they had embraced Islam and supported the Messenger of Allah, as a result of which the pagans of Makkah persecuted them, so much so that they had to abandon their hearths and homes and emigrate to Madinah. Some of them had to tie stones to their stomach on account of unbearable hunger, and others used to protect themselves against cold by digging holes in the ground, because they did not have clothes to save them from the chill of winter. 1 kg leg mutton
2 slices bread soaked in ½ cup water
1 Tbsp crushed garlic
1 onion
¼ tsp nutmeg powder
1 Tbsp crushed green chillies
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp salt
½ Tbsp crushed black pepper
Chopped parsley

Method: Add the ingredients to the mince and mix well. Form frikkadels the size of golf balls and put on an oven tray. Bake on 180 until done. Serve with steam mix vegetables and mash potatoes.

Mixed vegetables:
1/2kg frozen mixed vegetables
2 Tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Steam mixed vegetables in butter, salt and pepper until done.

Mashed Potatoes:
6 medium potatoes – peeled and cubed
2 Tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup milk
¼ tsp baking powder

Method: Boil the potatoes in a little water until soft. Add the rest of ingredients and mash. Serve hot
