Surah Al-Jumu'ah (The Friday) 62

This Surah was revealed in Madinah, and it has 11 verses and 2 sections

In the Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Most Merciful

"...to teach them the Book and the Wisdom..."62:2

COMMENTARY: The word al-Kitab refers to the Noly Qur'an, and the word al-Hikmah refers to all the teachings and guidance that have been received from the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) orally or practically. As a result, many of the commentators have interpreted the word Hikmah as the Approved Way (Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam).

A Question and its Answer: A question arises here that the natural order of wording in the verse should have been thus:
(1) recitation or teaching of words; followed by
(2) teaching of meaning; and consequently
(3) making pure by inculcating righteous deeds and high morals

However, in most places the Qur'an has changed the sequence by inserting number 3 first; then number 1; and then number 2?

A: Ruhul-Ma'ani explains that if the natural order of wording were to be maintained in all verses, all three elements would have combined together and become 'one', as it happens in pharmaceutical mixing of many substances, the aggregate of which loses the separate identity of each element, and becomes a single 'compound' whereas probably Allah wanted to maintain separate identities of the Divine blessings and the three Prophetic duties separately identifiable. By changing the natural order in most places, the Noble Qur'an has probably alluded to this fact.

SEAFOOD AKHNI

Ingredients
1 kg mixed seafood (prawns calamari kingklip crayfish tails) - 3 large onions finely sliced - Cooking oil for frying - 200grm mushrooms chopped - 1 Green pepper seeded and chopped - 1 Red pepper seeded and chopped - 750ml uncooked rice - Salt and Tabasco sauce to taste.

Marinade
60ml peri-peri sauce - 10ml grouched garlic - Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste - 5ml Tabasco sauce.

Method
Combine marinade ingredients in a mixing bowl add mixed seafood and marinate for 1 hour. Fry onion in heated oil until golden 5-10 mins. Add mushrooms and fry a further 5 mins or until softened. Remove onions and mushrooms from pan and set aside. Fry peppers in oil for 5 mins remove from pan and set aside. Transfer seafood and marinade to frying pan and fry for 15 mins. Meanwhile boil rice in salted water until tender about 20 mins. Drain and rinse the rice. Layer ingredients in a large saucepan as follows:

First rice, then onions and mushrooms (save some onion for garnish) then peppers and finally seafood mixture. Continue layering until all the ingredients have been used up. Sprinkling each layer with a little salt and Tabasco sauce. Steam covered over medium heat for 30 mins. Garnish with reserved onions. Serve on its own or as an accompaniment to Prawns curry.
