A Radio Islam ComYOUTHnity Service Project.
Radio Islam's Nazam Hour and Kalamu Rabbi Team will be initiating a toy drive during the month of Ramadhaan.
For the success of this campaign we urge the community to donate new or used toys in good condition which will be collected at Radio Islam offices and distributed to orphanages and under privileged schools.
Youth who are interested in assisting with the collection, sorting and distribution of toys are requested to email nazamhour@radioislamlive.com

...continued Surah Al-Jumu'ah (The Friday) 62 In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most Merciful Admonishing those who abandon the Imam while he is delivering the Jumu'ah Khutbah [Sermon] And when they see some merchandise or amusement, they break away to it, and leave you standing. Say, "What is with Allah is much better than the amusement and the merchandise, and Allah is the best giver of sustenance." (62:11) COMMENTARY: The verse admonishes those who once abandoned the Friday sermon and attended some trade activity. Imam Ibn Kathir says that this incident took place when the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam used to deliver the Friday sermon after the Jumu'ah prayer, as it happens on Edayn even in our days. It once happened that the Friday prayer had finished and the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam was delivering his sermon. Suddenly a trading caravan arrived in the market-place of Madinah. Drums were beaten to announce the arrival of the caravan. The Friday prayer had finished and the sermon was in progress. Many of the noble Companions went away to the market-place. Only a few of them had remained behind with the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam who were about twelve in number [according to a narration]. According to some narratives, the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said: "If all had gone, the entire valley of Madinah would have been filled with the fire of punishment". peri chicken roast Ingredients 1 chicken cut into half/ butter flied 1 tsp chilli garlic paste 1 tsp red chillies 1 tsp pepper steak spice 1 tsp crushed jeeru 1 tsp salt 2 tblsp tomato paste 1 ½ tblsp peri peri oil ¼ cup lemon juice ¼ cup ghee or olive oil Sauce ½ cup tomato puree 3 tbslp lemon juice ½ tsp peri peri spice Salt to taste Left over marinade Ghee used for frying Method: Cut chicken into half/butterfly. Wash and drain. Combine spices with tomato paste, peri peri oil, lemon juice and marinate the chicken. Leave for 3 to 4 hours. Then: Heat ghee in a large frying pan and fry the chicken. Remove the chicken from the ghee and leave aside. Combine the sauce ingredients together and add the left over marinade and ghee. Pour over the sauce mixture and place in an oven tray. Cover with foil. Bake @180c for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 10 minutes basting chicken constantly with left over sauce and marinade. |

An Italian and a Chinese fellow were hired at a construction site. The foreman pointed out a huge pile of sand and told the Italian guy, "You're in charge of sweeping. And to the Chinese guy, "You're in charge of supplies." He then said, "Now, I have to leave for a little while. I expect you guys to make a dent in that there pile." The foreman went away for a couple of hours, and, when he returned, the pile of sand was untouched. He asked the Italian, "Why didn't you sweep any of it?" The Italian replied, "I no hava no broom. You said to the Chinese fella that he was in a charge of supplies, but he has disappeared and I no coulda finda him nowhere. The foreman was really angry by now and stormed off toward the pile of sand to look for the Chinese guy. Just then, the Chinese guy jumped out from behind the pile of sand
