Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said, "When you have finished your (Fard) Salat (prayer) in the Masjid, you should observe some of your (Sunnah and Nawafil) Salat at home; Allah will bless your homes because of your Salat (in your homes).'' [Muslim]

Commentary: This Hadith has the message that the Fard Salat should be performed in the Masjid while some of the supererogatory, optional and voluntary prayers should be performed at home.
