Surah At-Taghabun (Loss and Gain)

This Surah is Madani, and it has 18 verses and 2 sections

In the Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Most Merciful

(O those who believe, among your wives and your children there are some enemies for you, so
beware of them... 64:14)

COMMENTARY: Tirmidhi, Hakim and others have recorded, with authentic chain of transmitters, on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn 'Abbas RA, that this verse was revealed regarding those Muslims who embraced Islam in Makkah after the migration of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam to Madinah.

They intended to migrate to Madinah and join the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, but their wives and children refused to allow them. [RUH]

This was the time when it was compulsory for every Muslim to migrate from Makkah. Therefore, the wives and children who stood in way of loyalty and obedience to Divine laws are referred to as their enemies, and it was emphasized that they should beware of them, because none can be a greater enemy than one who involves a person in the eternal punishment and everlasting Fire of Hell.

Ingredients

Method:

Steam veggies with salt, pepper and butter till half way steamed. Empty veggies into a pyrex dish and add about 4 to 5 tblsp sweet chilli sauce to the vegies, pour olive oil and mix well, crumble feta cheese over and bake for about 20 min.
