Amr (also called Abu Abdullah and also Abu Laila) from Uthman bin
Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: After the burial
of a dead man, the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) would stand by the
grave and say, "Ask Allah to forgive your brother and supplicate
for him for steadfastness because he is being questioned (about
his deeds) now.'' [Abu Dawud]
Commentary: We are told in this Hadith that two angels question man in the grave. Allah helps a true believer in answering correctly. He says to the angels, "Allah is my Rubb. Islam is my religion. And the man sent by Allah as His Prophet is Muhammad.'' A condemned person will say, "Aa, Aa, I do not know.'' We are, therefore, particularly instructed that after the burial of a fellow-Muslim, we should supplicate beside his grave for his being firm-footed against the ordeal to which he will be subjected. |

Calzone
recipe Ingredients 3 cups flour 3 tblsp sugar 1 tsp salt 1 level tblsp instant dry yeast 100g butter 1 cup milk ½ cup warm milk and ½ cup warm water mixed together Mix everything together and make dough with milk and water. Knead well. Cover and leave to rise until double its size. Filling 500g chicken cubes 1 onion diced 1 tblsp butter 2 tomatoes diced 1 tsp garlic 1 tsp salt 1 tsp black pepper 2 tsp chillie powder 1 RECIPE WHITE SAUCE Method: Braise onion in butter until soft, add rest of ingredients and cook until done. Add all the white sauce. Add ½ cup cheese if desired. Mix and cool. Roll well risen dough into 1 big roti. Cut out rounds. Put filling in centre and seal tight, either with egg or with laai mixture. If you want to freeze at this point you may do so, or else leave calzone to rise a bit, brush with egg and sprinkle tall and bake @180degress until golden brown. To bake frozen calzones, allow calzones to thaw on greased oven pan for 2 hours then bake. Recipe for white sauce: 1 full tblsp cake flour 1 tblsp butter 2 cups milk ½ tsp salt ½ tsp black pepper Braise the flour and butter then add the rest of the ingredients ,stirring all the time so that you don’t have lumps. Cook until thick and saucy. |

The General was very skeptical about this explanation but at least he was here so he let the G.I. go. Moments later, eight more G.I.s came up to the general panting, he asked them why they were late. They all had the same story. "Sorry, sir! We had an appointment and it ran a little late, we ran to the bus but missed it, we hailed a cab but it broke down, found a farm, bought a horse but it dropped dead, ran 10 miles, and now we are here." The General eyed them, feeling very skeptical but since he let the first guy go, he let them go, too. A ninth G.I. jogged up to the General, panting heavily, "Sorry, sir! I had an appointment and it ran a little late, I ran to the bus but missed it, I hailed a cab but..." "Let me guess," the General interrupted, "it broke down."
