His Eminence Sheikh Salah Al-Bedair, may Allah preserve him, delivered the Friday sermon entitled, “Ease of Worship in Ramadan”, in which he talked about the importance of increasing acts of worship and obedience and drawing closer to Allah in the month of Ramadan. In the opening of his sermon, Sheikh Al-Budair highlighted the fact that Allah has favoured this religion with simple rules for performing hajj and other acts of worship.

Praise be to Allah. Praise be to Allah, Who has the soundest judgement and Who has set forth what is lawful and what is unlawful. I praise Him for granting us knowledge and proper understanding of His religion, and for all the things that He has taught us. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, Who has no partners, and I bear witness that our Prophet and master, Muhammad, is His servant and Messenger. May Allah bestow His bountiful and constant peace and blessings upon him and upon all his Household and Companions till the Day of Judgment.

O Muslims!
Fear Allah, for the fear of Allah is the source of all blessings, and knowledge wards off chaos and destruction.

"O you who believe! Fear Allah (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. It is reported of 'Ali bin 'Abi Tãlib that someone who was indebted came to him and said: I am unable to pay my debt so help me. The subject of God Almighty is the most noble of all subjects. This should be the ultimate concern of all human beings. This series of discussions attempts to understand God The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful, according to the Islamic Doctrine.

Shaikh Umar Farooq Abdullah and Shaikh Hamza Yusuf, in their introduction to this incredible series, emphasised that the essence of knowledge is in the discovery of our Creator, Lord of all. Moreover, the importance of making our knowledge meaningful was the supreme legacy of Islamic civilisation and it remains our task today. They explained further that every religion is founded upon direct experience of Allah Almighty.

In this part, Sh Hamza discussed the Isra and the Me’raj experiences of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu`Alayhi Wa Sallam; the inner and outer Hijrah.

Many believe this journey was merely a physical experience. However, Muhammad Sallallahu`Alayhi Wa Sallam negated this perception when he said, “The real Muhaajir is the one who makes Hijrah from what Allah has prohibited him from,” and Allah has prohibited us from everything other than Himself. In this journey Almighty Allah opened the Ghaib or Unseen to His beloved Prophet Sallallahu`Alayhi Wa Sallam creating a clearer understanding of Almighty Allah’s Majesty. If Almighty Allah’s Unseen world were to be unveiled to ordinary mortals like you and I, we would surely become insane.

½ kg chicken mince
3 slices bread, brown or white - put in magimix or food processor
1 tblsp green masala
1 tsp Salt
1 onion (grated & squeeze out water)
Green dhana
Mix together and add ¼ cup oil

Butter mixture:
¼ cup soft butter
½ cup grated cheese
Green chutney
Mix together, layer in pyrex and freeze.
Form kebabs and put cube butter mixture in the center, dip in egg and crumbs, put in foil cups, bake till done and serve.
