Being young and full of energy is a blessing from Allah SWT. In this there is a sign for us, as we are young only once with full vivacity as old age will certainly crop us. In a hadith, it is reported by Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam):

'Take benefit of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before you are preoccupied and your life before your death.' Sahih - Narrated by Ibn Abbas & collected in al-Haakim & others. (Authenticated by Shaykh 'Ali ibn 'Abdul Hamid in Forty Hadith of the Call and the Caller).

In another hadith, Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said:

“There are seven whom Allah will shade in His Shade on the Day when there is no shade except His Shade: a just ruler; a youth who grew up in the worship of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic; a man whose heart is attached to the mosques; two men who love each other for Allah's sake, meeting for that and parting upon that; a man who is called by a woman of beauty and position [for illegal intercourse], but be says: 'I fear Allah', a man who gives in charity and hides it, such that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives in charity; and a man who remembered Allah in private and so his eyes shed tears.”

(Narrated by Abu Hurairah & collected in Sahih al-Bukhari (english trans.) vol.1, p.356, no.629 & Sahih Muslim english trans.) vol.2, p.493, no.2248)

Nevertheless, years are passing by and we are getting older day by day. While going to bed every night we have no certitude of waking up the next day. But Alhamdullilah, Allah is offering us the opportunity of a new tomorrow to be a better Muslim. He is giving us the opportunity by keeping us alive to humble ourselves deeply in front of Him by doing more 'Ibadaat and Dhikr, to follow His orders and the Sunnah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam; to prepare way more for our Akhirah and detach ourselves from this Dunya, and to sit down and contemplate all the favors He has bestowed on us and be grateful to Him but yet we turn a blind eye. read more

In this amazing series, Ml Dawood Seedat brings alive the beautiful and extraordinary qualities of our master and leader, Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu’Alayhi Wa Sallam. In this podcast, Moulana discussed the forbearance, the tolerance of Rasulullah Sallallahu’Alayhi Wa Sallam.

Moulana explained the definition of forbearance; a person abstains from enforcing what is due to him. This, so aptly, describes this remarkable and rare quality of the final Messenger of Allah Ta`ala, Muhammad Sallallahu’Alayhi Wa Sallam. He was forbearing, tolerant, patient, moderate and very lenient.

Whether the Muslims were a small minority or whether it was during the glory days of Madinah or the Conquest of Makkah, Muhammad Sallallahu’Alayhi Wa Sallam never took revenge upon those who harmed him personally. However, when the Deen of Allah was threatened or when the Laws of Allah were flouted, he, Sallallahu’Alayhi Wa Sallam, reacted.

By way of example, Moulana cited the incident of a Jewish lady who would litter the footpath of Muhammad Sallallahu’Alayhi Wa Sallam and would often throw thorns or sharp objects. Rather than taking revenge, Muhammad Sallallahu’Alayhi Wa Sallam visited her when she fell ill…

* ANC plans to reinstate Potch mayor - The ANC in Tlokwe (Potchefstroom) Municipality plans to reinstate its former mayor - who was ousted in favour of a DA candidate - at a council meeting in two weeks, it said on Monday.

* Health minister stabilises passenger - Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi was probably hoping for a quiet flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town on Monday evening.

* Police to set up rape support centres - Specialised service centres would be introduced to help victims of sexual offences, National Police Commissioner Riah Phiyega said on Monday.

* Deadly bus blast hits Turkey's Syria border - At least 12 people have been killed and 30 others wounded following a car-bomb explosion near the border between Turkey and Syria, according to Turkish television.

* Mali troops hunt for rebel holdouts in Gao - Malian troops have hunted house-to-house in the northern city of Gao for rebels involved in a brazen raid on the city.

Filling:
2 chicken fillet cubes.
Onion – saute
Tomato
1 tsp ginger garlic
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 arad
1 lemon / herb spice
1 garlic / herb spice

Sauces:
1 tblsp mayonnaise
1 tblsp garlic sauce
1 tblsp nando’s spice sauce (any)
1 tblsp oil

Method:
Saute onion in oil.
Add other ingredients in pot and cook until done.
Fill schwarma with filling and salad.
Serve

Salad:
Shredded lettuce.
Add mayonnaise / crushed black.
Mix

Naan:
Garlic butter
Toaster in fry

Extra:
Serve schwarma plain as naan by spreading garlic and frying on pan.

A man went to see his doctor because he was suffering from a miserable cold. His doctor prescribed some pills, but they didn’t help.

On his next visit the doctor gave him a shot, but that didn’t do any good.

On his third visit the doctor told the man, “Go home and take a hot bath. As soon as you finish bathing throw open all the windows and stand in the draft.”

“But doc,” protested the patient, “if I do that, I’ll get pneumonia.”

“I know,” said the doctor, “I can cure pneumonia.”
