Narrated Ibn Umar RA: Allah's Messenger Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam enjoined the payment of one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every Muslim, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the Eid prayer. (One Sa' = 3 Kilograms approx.)

Narrated Abu Said RA: We used to give one Sa' of barley as Sadaqatul-Fitr (per head).

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri RA: We used to give one Sa' of meal or one Sa' of barley or one Sa' of dates, or one Sa' of cottage cheese or one Sa' of Raisins (dried grapes) as Zakat-ul-Fitr.

Narrated Nafi': Ibn Umar said, "The Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam made it incumbent on every male or female, the payment of one Sa' of dates or barley as Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (or said Sadaqa-Ramadan)." The people then substituted half Sa' of wheat for that. Ibn Umar RA used to give dates (as Sadaqat-ul Fitr). Once there was scarcity of dates in Medina and Ibn Umar RA gave barley. And Ibn Umar RA used to give Sadaqat-ul-Fitr for every young and old person. He even used to give on behalf of my children. People used to give Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (even) a day or two before the Eid.

COMMENTARY: The current value of one Sa' of wheat is R17.00 (Hanafi) and R21.00 (Shafi). The difference is based on ‘calculation methods’ of one Sa'.

1 Chicken out into pieces
1 Tsp salt
1 Tsp lemon juice
1 Tblsp garlic
1 Tblsp chilli paste
½ Tsp chilli powder
¼ Tsp arad
½ Tsp crushed red chillies

Marinate chicken with above ingredients and cook with ghee on high for 10 minutes. Remove and place on tray.

Sauce:
In a pot add garlic butter anbout 2 Tblsp,, 3 Tblsp Nnandos chaklaka, 2 Tblsp Nandos medittareanean sauce, 3 Tblsp garlic peri peri suce, 3 Tblsp mayonnaise and 1 tsp red chilli powder. Boil till thick , pour over chicekn and put foil over and grill inoven for about 10 minutes.
