All praise is due to Allaah. May peace and blessings be upon the Prophet, his household and companions.

Fellow Muslims! Fear Allaah and take lessons from those who have gone before you. They have been taken away by death and you will certainly follow them. Allaah says, “Have they not travelled through the land, and have they hearts wherewith to understand and ears wherewith to hear? Verily, it is not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the hearts which are in the breasts that grow blind.” (Al-Hajj 22:46)

Dear Muslims! Mankind are in need of mercy of the Merciful Lord as they are in need of love and compassion. They are in need of a forbearing one who can tolerate their ignorance and weakness. They are in need of a big heart that can give and not take, and that can alleviate their distress and sorrow and not add to it.

Indeed, apathy relegates man to the position of animal or makes him look like a lifeless tool or stone. Man is distinguished from other things by his heart and soul and not only by his flesh and bone. It is by soul and heart that he feels, reacts, shows compassion and feels pains. Mercy is a perfect quality in the human nature that makes man feel the pain of others and makes him try to remove that pain, as it makes him overlook people’s faults, wish for their guidance and excuse them. Compassion is a manifestation of a perfect nature and good manners that makes man act righteously and sees him through the crises. The Messenger of Allaah said, “Allaah makes mercy one hundred parts. He revealed a part thereof to the earth. It is by this single part that the creatures show compassion among themselves, that is why you see an animal raises up its hoof so as not to harm its young.” read more

500g beef / mutton cubes or ready made mince
1 onion
1 small tomato
3 slices bread soaked in water
10 green chilies
½ bunch methi bhaji chopped
½ bunch green dhana chopped
1 tsp black pepper
1 Tbsp ginger/ garlic
1 ½ tsp salt
1 tsp jeeru
2 tsp dhana powder
1 Tbsp chana flour
10 sticks spring onion chopped
½ bunch mint leaves chopped
1 tsp baking powder

Mince together beef/ mutton, onion, tomato, bread and chilies. Mix in the rest of the ingredients. Make small packets of mixture and freeze until needed or shape into small balls and deep fry in medium heat until medium brown

Several men are in the locker room of a golf club.. A cell phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands free speaker function and begins to talk. Everyone else in the room stops to listen.

MAN: "Hello"
WOMAN: "Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?"
MAN: "Yes"
WOMAN: "I am at the mall now and found this beautiful leather coat. It's only R3,000. Is it OK if I buy it?"
MAN: "Sure, go ahead if you like it that much."
WOMAN: "I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the new 2012 models. I saw one I really liked."
MAN: "How much?"
WOMAN: "R590,000"
MAN: "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options."
WOMAN: "Great! Oh, and one more thing...the house I wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking R3,950,000" for it.
MAN: "Well, then go ahead and give them an offer of R3,700,000. They will probably take it. If not, we can go the extra R250,000 if it's really a pretty good price."
WOMAN: "OK. I'll see you later!... I love you so much!"
MAN: "Bye! I love you, too."

The man hangs up. The other men in the locker room are staring at him in astonishment, mouths wide open. He turns and asks: "Does anyone know who this phone belongs to?
