HOLDING FIRMLY ONTO QURAANIC TEACHINGS IN KNOWLEDGE AND IN PRACTICE
All praise is due to Allah who has showered his favour upon his servants through his messenger and through His revealed scriptures by which the way of consideration expanded to men of reason due to the events and information contained therein. The road to the correct method and the straight path became manifest by it (as well) as due to His detailed presentations of laws. He has also distinguished between Halaal and Haraam and we testify that there is no diety but Allah who is alone and has no partner. We bear witness that our master and leader Muhammed Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam is His servant and messenger to whom Allah revealed the Quraan so that he may be a warner unto mankind. May Allah Ta'aala's salutations be upon him, his family and companions who were imbued by the Quraan and have diligently reminded mankind of the same.
Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "The best amongst you is he who learns the Quraan and teaches it." (Bukhaari)
Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "A person devoted to the Quraan will be asked to read and ascend in rank and he will be asked to read how he has read in this world because the last verse he reads in the quraan will be his determining stage and grade in Jannah." (Ahmed, Tirmizi, Nasai and Abu Dawud)
Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "Verily that person whos heart has no Quraan is like a ruined house." (Tirmizi, Darimi)
Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "Whoever reads one letter of the Quraan, for him is one blessing and one blessing has the reward of ten (such blessings)." (Tirmizi, Daarimi)
Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "Whoever reads the Quraan and learns it, understands what has been made lawful and unlawful and practices on it, Allah Ta'aala will give him entrance into Jannah and he will be given permission to intercede for 10 of his family members who were destined for Jahannum." (Ibn Majah, Abu Dawud)
I seek refuge with Allah from Shaytaan, the rejected one.
Allah Ta'aala says: "I most certainly take an oath by the orbital positions of the sun and that indeed is a mighty oath if you only knew. This is indeed a Quraan, most honourable in a book well-guarded. None of you shall touch it, but those who are clean."

DUAAS FOR THOSE WHO SERVE THE FOOD
The following Dua should be made for ones host or for those who serve the food:
"Allahumma Baarik lahum feemaa razaq tahum fagh firlahum war hamhum"
O Allah grant them Barakah in what you have given them, forgive them and have mercy on them.
Or recite the following Duaa:
"Allahumma at'im man a'tamanee wasqi man saqaani"
O Allah feed those who have fed me and satiate them who have satiated me.

GRILLED
STEAKS
Ingredients
1 kg Tenderised steaks / T Bone - 1 tsp Black Pepper - 1 tblsp Steak &
Chop Spice - 1 tblsp BBQ Spice - ½ tsp Tumeric powder - 1 tsp Ginger/Garlic
- 2 tblsps Lemon Juice - 1 tsp Aromat.
Method
Mix all ingredients together and marinate. Layer on griddle and grill
with ½ cup water till well done. Pour sauce over.
Sauce
¼ cup BBQ Sauce - 3 tblsps tomato sauce - 4 tblsps Worcester Sauce
- 4 tblsps Butter - Simmer together in pot - Serve with chips and onion
rings.
* To thicken any gravy or soup add corn flour to it. It is an excellent thickening agent. Remember to mix it in good water before adding to avoid lumps.
* While making any pasta add salt to the boiling water in which you are cooking it. That will be the only chance you get to salt it. Add salt after the water boils. If you add it before, it will take a longer time to boil.
* It is better to use round dishes in the microwave oven rather than square or rectangular dishes as round dishes spread heat faster.
To be Frank
Frank walks into a hardware store and asks for a chain saw that will cut 6 trees in one hour. The salesman recommends the top of the line model. Frank is suitably impressed, and buys it. The next day he brings it back and says, "This chainsaw is defective. It would only cut down 1 tree and it took ALL DAY!" The salesman takes the chain saw, starts it up to see what's wrong, and Frank says...
"What's that noise?"
