HAJJ THE MEMORIES WILL NEVER FADE

Leading me by the hand,
Towards a much sought after land.

Fulfilling an obligation compulsory on me,
As a young girl, she made me see.

Patience and virtue, every step of the way,
“Upon this duty there’s no time to play”.

The beautiful city, she taught me to adore,
Worshipping Allah, praying much more.

To the hustle and bustle of Makkah city,
Upon sight of the Ka’bah she was so witty.

Praying and prostrating, with zeal and endeavour,
In these matters she was always so clever.

Until the day came to depart for five days,
Her knowledge and wisdom saw us through the haze.

And as the pearls of the heavens opened upon Arafaat,
It was there that I think I left my heart.

The rituals of hajj we did perform,
For her such trials were just a norm.

Caring and sharing for fellow hujaaj,
She always encouraged me with a nudge.

Days and nights passed, performing tawaaf,
Yet never once did she even laugh.

Leaving for home left us in tears,
Not knowing if we would return, in a couple of years.

Little did we know, it was the beginning of the end,
For soon thereafter, for her health did she fend.

Through her suffering, her sacrifice was so great,
Advising those on the hajj journey, before it was too late.

And for all her efforts, time and love,
Did Allah’s mercy come from above.

He took my hajj companion, He took my mother,
Irreplaceable to me with no one other.

In another hadith it is mentioned that Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam once prayed, "Oh Allah, forgive the sins of the hajis and forgive the sins of him for whom the haji prays."

Ingredients

1 kg Soul fish
1 tblsp green masala (green chillie garlic mix)
1 tblsp mayonnaise
2 tsp lemon pepper
2 tsp white pepper
2 tsp black pepper
2 tblsp crushed garlic
¼ cup lemon juice
1 tsp fish spice
1 cup flour
½ to ¼ lb butter/olive oil to fry
Salt to taste or use garlic salt

Method

Marinate Souls in the above ingredients except the flour, butter , olive oil. Take 1 cup flour mix extra spies excluding masala mayonnaise, lemon juice & crushed galic. Remove Souls from marinade Dip in flavored flour, do not leave for long in flour. Have you frying pan ready with butter and oil. When oil and butter is hot fry the Souls. Fast fry for 4/5 mins on both sides till light brown .

Butter Sauce
Do Not discard the masala mixture. Add ¼ bottle of galic sauce(steers or any choice) Lemon juice Peri Peri (optional). Boil for a few mins and add mixed Herbs.

Serve the Souls with the sauce ….make spice rice or chips, salad of your choice
